CHESTER-LE-STREET CADET IS FLYING HIGH

Yesterday marked the last day of 1507 Chester-le-Street Squadrons most senior cadet, Cadet Warrant Officer Tom Dowson’s Navigation Flying Scholarship with No.9 AEF at RAF Linton-on-Ouse.

Despite some less desirable weather conditions he managed to complete the whole course, including all 8 flying sorties. These sorties included several navigation exercises in the Yorkshire area, the most memorable being the valleys of the Yorkshire dales! He even got the opportunity to learn to land and take-off the Aircarft.

Cadet Warrant Officer Dowson said, “Overall I had an amazing week and would like to thank all of the squadron staff who allow us to have great opportunities like these”.
