Here at the Royal Air Force AIr Cadets it’s not just the cadets who benefit from some fantastic training.
We value our volunteers so we deliver the very best training we can, to ensure they are well prepared for their new roles.
Our team of highly dedicated uniformed staff attend courses at our Adult Training Facility at RAF Cranwell.
Here the Officers and Senior non-commissioned Officers (SNCO) are given first class bespoke training when they first take on a uniformed role. These are the Officers Initial Course (OIC) and the Senior NCO Staff initial Course (SSIC).
These courses cover practical and class room based learning. Covering Leadership, Safeguarding, service writing and Health and safety just to name a few. In addition to learning Drill on the parade square.
As their careers develop they can return and complete further courses tailored to their needs and future aspirations.
Recently volunteers from across our Region have returned after successfully completing their courses.
These are shown in the pictures on this post. North Region would like to congratulate the following on successful competition of their ATF courses:-
OFFICERS INITIAL COURSE
* Plt Off Tom Monaghan - 473 (Hartlepool) Sqn - Durham Northumberland Wing
* Plt Off Paula Honeyball - 234 (City of Durham) Sqn - - Durham Northumberland Wing
SNCO STAFF INITIAL COURSE
* Sergeant Amy Scott - 341 (City of Preston) Sqn - Cumbria & Lancashire Wing
* Sergeant Naomi Anderson - 1862 (City of Carlisle) Squadron - Cumbria & Lancashire Wing
This demonstrates the hard work and dedication these volunteers have put into completing the course. Without people volunteering to Join as Adult Volunteers we couldn’t provide the service we do to our cadets.
Well done everyone! Good Luck In your new roles.
