Three Air Cadets from Longbenton joined friends from across Durham / Northumberland Wing to overcome a series of challenges to complete the prestigious Nijmegen Marches in Holland. It was a day the next generation will always remember…a ride in a chinook in sunny Scotland. 1400 cadets and staff took to the skies for an RAF100 two-day training exercise at Leuchars airfield in Fife. A senior instructor from 645 VGS at RAF Topcliffe has today realised his dreams for a career as a professional pilot. Today we learned that Flt Lt Jordan Cameron who is an A2* instructor has successfully passed his commercial pilots licence (CPL). After a lot of hard work and determination he is now following his dream to become an airline pilot. He is one of many instructors to progress to become a commercial pilot with airlines. ALEX ENJOYS AIR CADET DREAM!
Air Cadet, Flight Sergeant Alex McGowan, of 2344 (Longbenton) Squadron, earned the opportunity to visit the USA as part of the International Air Cadet Exchange (IACE) programme.
